UNDERSTANDING THE SPIRIT, THE SOUL, AND THE BODY

1 Thessalonians 5:23 tells us that we were all created with three basic parts: a Spirit, a Soul, and a Body. This course will provide students with a comprehensive understanding of each of these three parts. Knowing the difference between what you are and what you have is vital to leading a powerful and victorious Christian life.

SPIRIT-LED LIVING

The personal ministry and powerful gifts of the Holy Spirit are crucial for every person in the body of Christ to know and understand. This course will examine the role of the Holy Spirit in our lives and how He actively operates in the life of every believer.

BIBLE STUDY METHODS

Rightly dividing the word of truth is one of Christians’ greatest joys and responsibilities. This course is an introduction to various methods used to study the Bible. Students will learn how to use different study tools and techniques and gain insights into how technology can help increase our understanding of God’s word.

LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

Leaders aren’t born, they are made. This course will reveal how to develop the trademark skills and qualities all successful leaders must have. Students will hear from the perspective and experience of 8 different leaders, as they discuss a different attribute of leadership.

DEVELOPING A KINGDOM MINDSET

God has called believers to have an impact on the world around them. To do so, it is important for Christians to understand God’s Kingdom agenda for every area of their lives. This course will look at Gods Kingdom agenda and how to develop a Kingdom Mindset and thinking.

YEAR TWO CLASSES

CONVERSATIONAL APOLOGETICS

The Bible instructs every believer to “Always be prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you, with gentleness and respect” (1 Pet. 3:15). Many times, believers struggle to explain or defend their faith rationally and, more importantly, conversationally with others. This course will look at how to defend your faith with reason and precision. Students will learn to answer questions such as “What difference does it make if God exists?” and “Why is Jesus the only way to God?” and “Did Jesus rise from the dead?”

OT SURVEY

This course is an introductory overview of the contents of the Old Testament books. Particular consideration will be given to significant people, places, and events, in the Old Testament revelation.

BIBLICAL WORLDVIEW AND CHRISTIAN ETHICS

A person’s worldview is the lens through which they view reality. This course examines the nature of various belief systems, the importance of developing a biblical worldview, and living a distinctly Christian life.

NT SURVEY

This course is an introductory overview of the contents of the New Testament books. Particular consideration will be given to significant people, places, and events, in the New Testament revelation.

CHRISTIAN THEOLOGY AND DOCTRINE

This course will explore the essential doctrines of Christian Theology. Students will examine the major doctrines of Christianity to deepen and broaden their understanding of the Faith.

INFLUENCIAL LEADERSHIP

The saying that “Leadership starts at the top” is true but what if you aren’t at the top? Does that mean you can’t lead – Absolutely not. Leadership may start at the top, but a leader leads no matter where they find themselves. Leadership is influence. The person who develops their capacity to be a person of influence can make an impact wherever they are. This course will examine the power of influence and other leadership practices that will allow you to lead up, lead across and lead down.

PRACTICAL MINISTRY TRAINING

This course will provide students with a practical introduction into many of the ministries provided by the local church to the congregation, such as baptisms, child dedications, hospital visitation, pre-marital counseling, weddings, and funerals.

EMOTIONAL AND SPIRITUAL MATURITY

When a person is Born Again, they receive a brand-new spirit, but will spend a lifetime renewing their mind, will and emotions to be in alignment with God and His word to us. Many believers have learned that in order to lead a spiritually mature life, they must also develop and lead an emotionally healthy life. This course will examine what we can do to live a life that is marked by emotional maturity and spiritual maturity.
